Our Services

IHG Hotels

Laura Simmonds,

Head of Responsible Procurement, IHG.

At IHG we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and seeking out more sustainable solutions. A core part of this commitment is helping our colleagues to better understand the options that enable them to make more environmentally-friendly choices.

The “Let’s Reduce Single-Use Toolkit” has been a useful way to help our procurement team to expand their knowledge, and in-turn support our hotel brands to make buying choices that have a more positive impact on both our operations and the environment

TUI Group

Andreas Vermoehlen,

Sustainability Manager TUI Group

The TUI Plastic Reduction Workshop in Turkey beginning of October 2019 was a great success – the facilitators of Travel Without Plastic provided useful information to our hoteliers how to substitute single-use plastics significantly.

Through this workshop, we encouraged our hoteliers to further reduce plastics successfully in order to achieve TUI Group’s objective to remove 250 million pieces of single-use plastics by 2020.

Turismo de Portugal

Teresa Ferreira,

Departamento de Dinamização da Oferta e dos Recursos

For Turismo de Portugal, it is a great opportunity to work with Travel Without Plastic in order to increase awareness in Portuguese tourist professionals regarding the reduction of single-use plastic, to help them find better solutions for the environment and really make the difference in achieving an even more sustainable destination – that’s our path.

Snowdonia National Park

Catrin Glyn, Yr Wyddfa Partnership Officer

It's been great to work with Jo and Travel Without Plastic on this brand new model for the Eyri Ambassador Programme.

The module is inspired by the previous scoping work undertaken to evaluate different options for designating Yr Wyddfa as a plastic-free zone and works as a toolkit for hospitality businesses to reduce their single-use plastics.

The module is full of tips and exceptional advice for businesses on becoming greener.

The Travel Foundation

Katie James, The Travel Foundation

The Travel Foundation worked with Travel Without Plastic in February 2021 to deliver a webinar to hoteliers in Cyprus.

Jo brought a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience and was a pleasure to work with throughout.

The webinar was very well-received by the participants who especially valued the practical tips for reducing plastic, the real-life examples from other hotels and the opportunity to discuss challenges and solutions with peers. Highly recommended!

Seaside Collection Hotels

Beate Sekula, General Manager,

Seaside Los Jameos Playa
